Then Natalie Was Found

At 2:40 a.m., a homeowner three neighborhoods away called police.

A woman had knocked on the back door.

She was frightened, exhausted and missing one shoe.

It was Natalie.

Police arrived immediately.

She had no serious visible injuries.

But she was shaken.

Detectives asked:

“Where’s your brother?”

Natalie answered:

“I don’t know.”

“What happened after you ran into the woods?”

Natalie looked down.

“He showed me something.”

Eric Had Evidence About Their Father’s Will

According to Natalie, Eric had spent months investigating.

He believed their father’s final will was forged.

But he wasn’t accusing Natalie.

He was accusing their father’s attorney.

A man named Jonathan Pierce.

Eric believed Pierce had changed several documents after Robert Brooks became seriously ill.

Natalie originally thought Eric was trying to start another family argument.

That’s why she pushed him out of the house.

Then he showed her a copy of an email.

It appeared to be from Pierce.

It referenced a “revised distribution” before any revised will supposedly existed.

Natalie became concerned.
