The Family Photos Finally Happened
Twenty-five minutes late.
No Allison.
No Linda.
Samantha stood beside Daniel.
Ashley stood near her.
Daniel’s father quietly took his place.
The photographer asked:
“Ready?”
Samantha looked down.
Her bouquet was slightly crooked.
A few petals missing.
She laughed.
“Apparently.”
Daniel leaned toward her.
“I am so sorry.”
She whispered:
“We’ll discuss your family tomorrow.”
He nodded.
“Fair.”
The camera clicked.
Linda Blamed Samantha for Weeks
She told relatives she had been “thrown out.”
Technically true.
She left out the part about secretly inviting an ex.
She left out the lie.
She left out the attempted family photos.
And she definitely left out the bouquet.
Some relatives defended her.
Others had witnessed enough themselves.
Daniel’s aunt eventually told Linda:
“You made an ex-girlfriend more important than your son’s bride at his own wedding.”
Linda responded:
“That wasn’t what I was doing.”
His aunt replied:
“Then whatever you were doing looked remarkably similar.”
